Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2012 - my view

Normally, at events like this there are as obvious hits as there are misses, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fashion choices.  It was obvious that the fab weather in the UK at the moment had influenced a lot of choices, as bold colours and whites popular.

The outfit I love the most was Katherine Jenkins in Mary Katrantzou, but mainly because I’m in love with her prints, and love the lantern shape of her dresses suit anyone.  If only I had a spare 350 quid for the Topshop version!

Other looks I really liked were Jamila Jamal who embraced this summer’s neon trends, Kelly Rowland in a stunning black, sweeping Maria Grachvogal gown which looked elegant without being too ball gown like, Jessica Alba in a gorgeous gothic Alexander McQueen number and Kylie is gold Stella McCartney……. But then again, Kylie always looks amazing!

The one dress I really didn’t like was Alesha Dixon in Julian MacDonald, even though all this morning’s press says she looked stunning.  I seemed too frumpy for her usual funky style, and also seemed to be far too small for her on the bust.
