MY:VIEW Look of the Week - Olympics

Yet another Olympic themed post!!  But after watching the closing ceremony last night, and being unbelievably proud to be British, my Look of The Week HAD to come from the ceremony.  I literally spent 3 hours last night singing and dancing around my apartment with a tear in my eye and a heart swollen with pride.  The Brits rocked it!

I never thought I’d ever say I thought any of the Spice Girls looked good, but I’m saying it!!  Victoria Beckham’s Giles Deacon dress was gorgeous, and I’m a huge fan of the whole dip hem trend so it nailed it perfectly.  The others dressed to fit their persona’s, with Mel B in a gold sequined Zuhair Murad bodysuit, Emma in a hot pink dress by Maggie Cooke, Geri working a red frock with Union Jack detailing by Suzanne Neville and Mel C in a white jumpsuit and outfit by JD Sports.

I loved the section highlighting British fashion with the top models wearing British fashion, with Erdem, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane, Jonathan Sanders and Paul Smith represented.  I loved Kate Moss in McQueen (but then she is my style crush), but I also thought Lily Cole looked gorgeous in Erdem.  Plus loved seeing one of my fave models Karen Elson there, she’s from my home town, which made me even more proud!!

That’s enough of Olympic/British talk.  I’m actually not sure what I’m going to do now they’re over, but know that I’m even more looking forward to going home on Thursday, as the Olympics have made me homesick!
